Winter. A lovely time of holidays, parties, sitting cozily next to the fireplace drinking hot chocolate…a time that can also be cloudy, cold, rainy and for some, downright depressing!
One of our favorite ways to cheer up a dreary day, combat sickness or help defeat winter blues is using essential oils. Here are our top five oils we diffuse in the winter.
Essential Oils for Winter
To combat sickness: Thieves, or cinnamon, clove, rosemary, lemon, lavender, 1-2 drops of each into your diffuser.
For a cheerful bright scent: Wild Orange and/or Grapefruit. 5 drops into your diffuser.
For a clear mind: Peppermint and Eucalyptus. Simply take a whiff of the cap, or diffuse 4 drops of each in your diffuser.
A good night’s sleep: Lavender, peppermint, ylang ylang, bergamot. Diffuse 2 drops of each.
For a warm, cozy smell: Cinnamon and vanilla. Add 2 drops of cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract to your diffuser. You could also add orange oil for a twist! (Note: Though we have added vanilla extract to our diffuser with no issue, we cannot guarantee that it won’t make yours blow up…)
To have an amazing start or close to your day…
- Take five minutes each day to put your favorite oil into your diffuser, sit down, and take a few deep breaths.
- Turn on some classic or worshipful music.
- Read an uplifting scripture, and take a few minutes to meditate on it.

Wow! His Name is near! Don’t forget that He is near to you; whenever you need Him…(which is always!). His love is STEADFAST.
