We love hot beverages of all kinds, but we tried this Spiced Turmeric Latte with hesitancy. Turmeric can be a strong, astringent flavor, but, WOW! This drink is a great way to get your anti-inflammatory turmeric in without any overpowering taste. It’s DE-lish! Here’s our handy list of anti-inflammatory foods and foods that are best limited or avoided: Anti-Inflammatory Quick List!
Turmeric, as you probably know is a superb anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. In simple terms, it will help keep your cells safe from damage. That’s important because life happens at a cellular level!
Turmeric will also stain whatever it touches, so use it carefully! Carolina once stained her braces, and our wood countertops have suffered yellow stains as well…
This turmeric latte is so warm and creamy!
What we really love about this drink is that it is so creamy and filled with flavor. All the spices meld into the silky coconut a create such a warm, comforting experience. And a little goes a long way. It’s so rich, you can make a small batch, share it with the family, and everyone will be happy!
Adjust the spices to your taste. We like to let the turmeric and cinnamon shine in ours, but you can adjust them however you like. Adjust the sweeteners as well. Maple syrup is our fave! (If you love spicy, you might like to try our amazing Chai Recipe!)
Now it’s time to sit down with a good book, perhaps Around the World in 80 Days, sip your luscious latte and enjoy the afternoon.
Feel free to add other spices such as cardamom, cloves, vanilla, etc.
